Privacy Policy

Effective July 3, 2026

TipOtter ("we," "us") provides a subscription email service that surfaces local business trigger events for B2B salespeople. This policy describes what we collect from you, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. We have tried to keep it short enough to actually read.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you start a checkout, subscribe, or contact us. It is how we deliver the product and manage your subscription.
  • Billing details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number never touches our servers and we cannot see it.
  • Subscription and delivery records: which territory you hold, what we sent you and when, and delivery outcomes (for example, whether an email bounced). We keep these to honor territorial exclusivity and to run the service reliably.
  • Standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept by our hosting infrastructure for security and operations.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing.
  • We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this site.
  • We do not use tracking pixels in the product email: no open tracking, no click-wrapped links.

About the businesses in our emails

The intelligence we deliver concerns businesses, not consumers, and is gathered from public sources: government filings, registrations, and published local business coverage, distilled into our own words. If your business appears in our feed and you have a question or correction, email us and we will address it promptly.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run TipOtter: Stripe (payments), email delivery providers (sending the product), and cloud infrastructure providers (hosting). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Email choices

Every product email contains a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops product delivery; it does not by itself cancel a paid subscription (manage billing separately, or email us and we will help).

Data retention and deletion

We retain subscription records while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes. To request deletion of your personal information, email hello@tipotter.com and we will honor it within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will note the new effective date here and, for material changes, tell subscribers by email.
